The New Britax Romer EvolvaFix i-Size child car seat is designed to safely and comfortably transport children from 15 months to 12 years of age.

Approved under the new i-Size regulation, it offers safety you can trust and maximum flexibility. The seat converts into a high-back booster seat easily, with just a few simple steps. Children can benefit from the 5-point safety belt until they reach 105 cm (max. 22 kg).

Flexibility

The smart FLIP&GROW function allows you to store the integrated 5-point safety belt inside the seat and use the car's 3-point safety belt as your child grows. No parts need to be removed from the seat during conversion and the seat can therefore be converted at any time. With the EasyRecline function, you can recline the seat for your child's comfort without readjusting the installation.

Quick cover removal

Things can get pretty messy on the road. Drinks can be spilled and kids can get carsick. That's why we designed a seat cover that's machine washable and easy to remove without removing the belt, so you can clean quickly and get started.

Redesigned Isofix brackets

The new Isofix brackets are independently adjustable and make fitting the seat in the vehicle easier than ever.

5-point safety belt

We believe the 5-point harness is the safest way to secure your child in a car seat because it keeps your child secure in the seat's protective shell. In the event of a crash, the belt distributes the impact forces to 5 points, two on the shoulders, two on the hips and where the belt anchors to the buckle, between the legs. This helps protect your child from all directions of impact.

Soft protective shoulder pads

Soft protective shoulder pads fit comfortably on your child's chest. They help reduce your child's movement in the event of a crash and add even more comfort to the 5-point harness. In addition, they can be easily removed for washing.

Safety

The SecureGuard system helps protect your child's sensitive abdominal area by adding an extra – a 4th – point of contact to the 3-point seat belt. By keeping the lap belt in the optimal position over your child's pelvic bones, SecureGuard helps reduce abdominal forces in the event of a frontal collision by up to 35%* while allowing your child freedom of movement during the journey. *Britax Römer internal testing with a Q6 dummy, representing an average 6-year-old child

Back protection

Our back boosters protect your child in 3 ways: the seat shell provides head-to-hip protection for your child, especially in the event of a side impact. Upper and lower belt guides provide correct seat belt placement. and the padded headrest provides safety and comfort for your child's head and neck.

V-shaped headrest

Specially designed to control the movement of your child's head, our V-shaped headrest ensures optimal protection in the event of a side impact while providing ultimate comfort. In addition, the headrest and harness can be easily adjusted from the front of the seat to suit your child's height.

Top Tether - extra security

The Top Tether minimizes the rotation of the car seat and thus reduces possible injuries to the head and neck area in the event of a crash. Due to the double anchor points, the V-shaped Top Tether offers even more stability and safety for your child than a seat with conventional tethers.

Back reclining system

The EasyRecline backrest system is suitable for all ages and allows you to adjust the seat to comfortable recline positions, even when your child is in the seat and without having to readjust the Top Tether — absolute comfort for both parent and and for the child.

Installation - Approval: i-Size (R129)

ISOFIX with Top Tether (76 – 105 cm)

This child car seat must be attached to your vehicle's ISOFIX anchor points. ISOFIX is a standard attachment point system found in almost all cars. This creates a secure and stable connection between the child car seat and the car. Special requirements of EVOLVAFIX – a secure installation is completed by using Top Tether for optimal stability. Our i-Size car seats will fit all approved i-Size seating positions, so check your vehicle owner's manual for approved i-Size seating positions.

Belt with ISOFIX system (100 – 150 cm)

This child car seat must be installed using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt as well as the ISOFIX anchor points in your car. This ensures a firm and secure connection between the child car seat and the car, even when your child is not sitting in it. Check our vehicle list or the FIT FINDER® on the product page to see if the car seat is compatible with your car.

Belt (100 – 150 cm)

This child car seat can be installed with the car's 3-point seat belt. This option is useful if you are going to transfer the car seat to different cars which may not all have ISOFIX anchor points. The seat belt guides on the car seat will help you fit the seat correctly. Check your vehicle owner's manual for suitable seat positions and ask your local retailer for a test fit in your car (ask for a Britax Römer trained staff member) before purchasing the car seat.
